Autobiographies – Our Ambitions

Over the last two weeks in Penguin class, we have been writing about our ambitions for the future in an autobiographical form. First, we began by discussing what an ambition is and what it means to us and then we introduced our own. Here are some examples of our writing:

“What is an ambition? To me an ambition is a mission and a goal in life. Without them you drift away from success. It’s a form of positivity and hope. I will now inform you mine” – Arif

“I have a taste for travelling. My dream is to live in the stunning country Turkey. To achieve this, I would need to save up lots of money. In addition to this, I would like to visit it to get used to the scolding heat. Alongside this, I would like to have an immense house. My windows would be cerulean blue. I would also have a crystal clear sapphire blue swimming pool. The house would be shortbread-tan with a lilac purple door. I would have porpoise grey sun-loungers. I would stare up at the honey yellow sun and watch it set and rise. I would go to the pearl white sounds of turtle beach. Where I could see the fern green and cinnamon brown turtles swimming.” – Ebony

“Secondly, I want to travel the world to learn different languages. It would be a dream to go to Norway to find vicious Viking remains. As well as this, I want to try new food especially in Turkey as I’ve never tried Turkish food before. To make my ambition come true I will get a job to save money (I will tell you about this next).

Last but not not least, I want to be a policeman. I want to do this because I want to save people and keep people safe. To make this happen I will go to college and study how to be a policeman (public services). As well as this, I will have to try to never get in trouble to set a good example. I know I will make this dream come true by working hard in life.” – Rhys

“My first dream occupation is to be a teacher. I would like to help children with their learning and education. I want to work with Year Two in a primary school in Spain. I am going to achieve this by getting  a good education and degree…

Last but not least, I would like to visit New York. Only because I would like to see the gleaming bright lights on the leather black buildings. I would like to try new food and also sweets and chocolate. Another reason why is because I want to see the Statue of Liberty and take pictures of different landmarks that I have never seen before.” – Lacey

“Firstly, I want to be a football player because it’s fun to play. In addition to this, you also get lots of money. I would like to play for Liverpool because I support them. However, I could also play for Barcelona to meet Messi because he is the best player in the world.” – Rio

“My final ambition is to go to Argentina. I will achieve this by using my private jet to get there. In Argentina I will see all of the colossal fossil grey mountains. I would also go to all of the sunny beaches and see the crystal blue sea.” – Christopher
