Our unexpected guest in Year 2

This week we had two surprise objects left in our garden.  One was a hand made of ice and the other was a scroll tied with red ribbon.  Year 2 had a great time trying to decide who might have left these objects.  We discovered that they had been left by the Snow Queen. We found out that she had cast a spell on a boy called Kai which had turned him from a caring, friendly boy to someone quite horrid.

So for our learning next week, we are going to make up a spell and write a set of instructions for it so that we can turn Kai back into a lovely boy again.

This also means that for maths, we are going to need to learn about capacity so we know how much liquid we are going to need to make our potions.
