Here at Rose Street we know that keeping your children safe online is a priority. Finding out where to get advice and information can be daunting, so we would like to use our website to help and guide adults and children on this important issue. Below are links to websites with advice and information for you.
We recommend that you and your children take a look on the CLASSES page at our site’s Kids’ Zone.

Staying safe at home.
At home you can keep your children safe by following just a few simple tips:
- Keep a watchful eye over the websites your children visit. You can check your internet history to view what websites children have accessed.
- Keep computers in a communal area where children can be supervised or ‘checked in’ on.
- Don’t be afraid to find out more about the website your child wants to use especially if they contain chat rooms.
- Don’t allow children to meet people they have met in chat rooms- if they must go you should go with them.
Cyber bullying.
Cyber bullying is an ever increasing trend where children and adults can ‘abuse’ people verbally with comments, texts and emails. We encourage and make aware to all children that if they believe someone is doing this they should tell a trusted adult straight away. It is also really useful to save any messages that children receive so don’t allow children to delete them.
