Healthy Eating

592e126ae2ec4f6d8e8827c6489b24ad_1x1

At Rose Street we want to encourage children to be healthy eaters.  We have put a number of systems in place to do this.

Children who have fruit, vegetables, dried fruit or pure fruit juice in their lunch box will receive a raffle ticket. At the end of each term there is a draw and the winner receives a fruit hamper.  A certificate is awarded to the runners up.

Children who have school dinners receive a sticker for eating or trying vegetables.
We have now gained Enhanced Healthy Status and have got the certificate to prove it! Well done everybody, keep up the good work.

This year we are also having themed weeks.  For example carrot week, where any child with carrot sticks in their lunch box will receive an extra raffle ticket.

We will also be having competitions, throughout the year, that all children can enter.

Thank you for your continued support in helping us become a healthy, happy school.
