Sheerness West Federation
Dear Mums, Dads and Carers,
I am delighted to welcome you to the websites for both Rose Street and West Minster primary Schools which form the Sheerness West Federation.
Sheerness West Federation is a welcoming and inclusive community where we believe “Dreams come true with a positive view.” We have an ethos of hard work, dedication and are completely committed to ensuring all the children and families of our community are supported to be successful.
Whilst we strive to ensure all children reach their academic potential and more, we also strive to make sure that we develop children in other ways to ensure they receive a well-rounded educational experience. This is reflected in the 10 main drivers we have produced with all stakeholders which we aim to achieve by the time children leave us to go onto secondary school. (Please see these on the About Us section of the website)
Our expectation is that children will be well mannered, well behaved and show respect both to each other and the adults who work with them and that everybody will be able to learn in a safe and secure learning environment.
We have recently introduced a values education programme and each month we celebrate one of these values as we move through the year. These can be viewed on the About Us section of the website.
We are currently expanding as a federation so that West Minster will become a 3 form entry school and Rose Street will become a two form entry school by January 2017. This is an exciting time to be at our schools as we will have 2 beautiful new buildings so that we can continue to provide excellent educational opportunities for all our children.
I look forward to welcoming you to both schools and if you do not find what you are looking for on the websites please do not hesitate to make an appointment to come and have a look around for yourself. We would gladly welcome the opportunity to show off our amazing schools and give you the chance to meet our fabulous children and dedicated staff teams.
