E-Safety

To ensure that all children at Rose Street Primary School are aware of current e-Safety procedures and to provide them with the skills and knowledge to keep themselves safe online and help promote the safe use of technology, we use a combination of cross-curricular links to other subjects and explicit teaching.

It’s vital to ensure we empower our children to understand how to keep themselves safe while taking our local context into account.

As this area is in a continuous state of change e-safety learning is delivered in lessons and assemblies outside of the curriculum timetable when new safety measures or advice is updated.

We teach the children to focus on SMART rules when using technology:

The National Online Safety Website has produced a huge variety of useful posters with helpful information and guides to every day games, apps and sites.
