Rose Street Nursery
Ducklings
3-4 year olds
At Rose Street School Nursery, we believe every child is unique and deserves a nurturing environment where they can thrive. Through a child-first, pupil-second approach, we encourage curiosity, creativity and child-led learning, allowing children to explore, discover and develop at their own pace.
Our experienced and caring staff create engaging learning opportunities that build confidence, independence and a lifelong love of learning. By following children's interests and celebrating their individual strengths, we foster a warm, inclusive environment where every child feels valued, supported and inspired to reach their full potential.
Why choose Rose Street Nursery?
A happy start to nursery. A confident step into school.
At Rose Street Nursery, children get the best of both worlds: a warm, nurturing nursery environment and the benefits of being part of our school community from the very beginning. Starting nursery is a big milestone for children and families. We want to make that journey as happy, familiar and reassuring as possible.
🌱 A great start for your child
Being part of Rose Street School helps children feel at home, build confidence and develop the skills they need for a smooth transition into primary education.
Here’s what makes Rose Street Nursery special:
- A familiar start to school life – Children get to know the school building, daily routines, playground and staff, helping them feel confident and settled when they move into Reception.
- Friendships that grow – Children build friendships with peers who may continue alongside them throughout their primary school years.
- Learning that works together – Our shared curriculum standards help create continuity between nursery and school, supporting children as they take their next steps in learning.
- Support from the very beginning – Being part of the school community helps us identify children’s individual needs early and work together to provide the right support.
- Space to explore and learn – Children benefit from access to the school hall, playing field and Forest School, alongside learning experiences led by our highly qualified staff, including PE lessons with a specialist PE teacher.
💛 What about the benefits for families?
We know that choosing a nursery is about more than finding the right place for your child. It’s about finding a welcoming community where your whole family feels supported.
At Rose Street, we make that easier, too!
- One school, one drop-off! – If you have older children at Rose Street School, having everyone in the same place can make busy mornings and afternoon pick-ups much simpler.
- Relationships that last – Our staff have taught many siblings over the years, helping us build strong, trusted and lasting relationships with families.
- A community to belong to – Meet other local parents and carers whose children will grow up alongside yours, creating friendships and a ready-made support network.
- Support when you need it – As part of the main school, families can benefit from access to our wider support network, including our pastoral team, Family Liaison Officer and Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCo).
