This year at Rose Street we celebrated the World Book Day 2026 theme of 'reading for pleasure'. The children were invited to bring in their favourite books to share with their peers. We had so many wonderful books brought into school and the children were so excited to share them. It was so lovely to hear them talk so confidently about their books and explain why their book was special to them. At the start of the week, the children also participated in storytelling workshops hosted by the West End in Schools company. These were fantastic, fun and fast-paced and the children had a great time exploring storytelling and using their imaginations!
