  • Write Dance

    WRITE DANCE.
Last week we started week 2 of write dance.
This week rather than make our movements on paper with crayons
we did it on the table with shaving foam, which the children loved
    😃😃
We are really enjoying doing so many handwriting activities to get
the children ready to write, some are even beginning to form letters
and their names. Well done Ducklings 🐥

We had fun making mini aquariums! 🐠

We started by placing air-drying clay at the bottom of a jar and painted it green to create the seabed. Then, the children painted pasta to make colorful coral and crafted little clay fish on wires to swim in their underwater world.

What a creative and splashy activity! 🌊

Yesterday, Woodpecker class went out in the local area, on a field trip for geography. We were looking at how population is impacting our environment. The children used a range of data collection methods: tally chart, likert scales and recording device for noise. We collected data at two different places in order to compare. The children were very well behaved 🙂

  • Criterion Visit

Tue 30 Sep 2025 Mrs Handy

Hummingbird Class have been fortunate enough to be the first to visit 'The Criterion Blue Town Heritage Centre'. The heritage centre is full of memorabilia and artefacts and it has been so interesting to find out how our island was a part of so much history.

It's definitely a place that should be visited!
